Gasperini wins the "Golden Bench" made by Iaco Group

Gian Piero Gasperini won again the "Golden Bench". The Atalanta's coach repeated last year's success and for the second consecutive time, he was voted by his colleagues as the best Italian coach. A success that due to the pandemic - for the first time in the history of the ceremony, which has reached its 29th edition - was not celebrated in the setting of Coverciano, but which arrived electronically, with on-line voting.
In Zingonia the president of the Technical Sector, Demetrio Albertini, awarded Gasperini who was awarded the "Golden Bench", which is a splendid creation of the Iaco Group, chaired by Alberto Iacovacci, and represents the most important recognition for a coach, the award with which technicians celebrate their colleagues.
"This Golden Bench - commented Gasperini excitedly, receiving the award directly from Demetrio Albertini - I dedicate it to all of Bergamo, to the staff and to the players: to everyone, because it is truly a team victory. Compared to the one won last year it is different, because each season has its own particularities and this award has managed to give continuity to the one won previously. Getting it was even more difficult and perhaps, precisely for this reason, this Golden Bench is even more beautiful".

After the success of last year, Gian Piero Gasperini thus obtained the second Golden Bench of his career, voted by fellow coaches as the best Italian First Division coach foto the last season. For the coach from Grugliasco this is the third trophy received by the Technical Sector, also considering the silver bench obtained for the 2006/2007 season, when he was at the helm of Genoa in Second Division.
